The Genki School takes the professional ethics of client confidentiality very seriously.

Any personal information, for example contact details and/or details of any medical condition, provided to us via the School, the Shiatsu clinic, or this web site will be treated in the strictest confidence allowable within the confines of the law. We do not share any client details with third-party individuals or information services.

Internet access is not a requirement for studying Shiatsu with the Genki School. Most of the course specific documentation contained in the Members Area is automatically provided in printed format to students as course material. Any documents made available within this area and that fall outside the curriculum are also available from the School in printed form.

Access to the Members Area of this web site is restricted. An individual username and password is assigned to each student, and which applies to course material at that level of study and is valid for the duration of that course only.

In addition to the above, any HTML pages in this area that may contain potentially sensitive information (such as personal contact details) are protected from unauthorised viewing by the incorporation of a robust three-layer encryption algorithm.

The Members Area contains little in the way of sensitive personal information. We do however publish an online copy of the group's Contact List which normally contains the name, postal address, appropriate telephone numbers, and e-mail address of all students, course assistants, and tutors. Access to this information is restricted to those persons closely involved with your study group.

All students are provided with the opportunity to opt-out prior to publication of their details within the online Contact List. If a person at any time, and for any reason wishes for their details to be removed, they should inform the School by writing to the following address:
