About the Year-1 Stage-2 Shiatsu training course

This course will significantly enhance your work, whether you are involved in healthcare, physiotherapy, complementary therapy, or working on your own health and well being, and that of family and friends.
As the second stage of Year-1 of studies, this course will consolidate and deepen your understanding of Shiatsu principles and practice.
There are no formal examination requirements for entry into Year-2 from this stage, although, there is a continuous assessment of practical skills, as well as theory assignments in Traditional Chinese Medicine, anatomy and physiology.
The Year-1 Stage-2 Shiatsu course includes:
Study of the superficial musculature.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Fundamental Substances.
Causes of disease.
Pattern recognition.
Revision of the 5 elements and Zang/Fu organs.
Further development of palpatory literacy, including use of the side position.
Point location studies continued.
Use of diagnosis in shiatsu treatments.
Introduction to case histories.
