Shiatsu Courses

Shiatsu courses to practitioner level. The school's 3-year Shiatsu practitioner training programme is mostly weekend-only, and culminates in the school's diploma of Shiatsu on successful completion.

The school's syllabus meets the standards of The Shiatsu Society, and graduates are entitled to apply for full membership (MRSS) of the society's register.

Overview Of The 3-Year Practitioner Training Programme

Year-1:
Year-1 of study is split into two stages, and provides a practical foundation and thorough grounding in the theory and practice of Shiatsu. The Stage-1 and Stage-2 modules of Year-1 are continuously assessed, and there are no examination requirements for entry into the second year of study.

Year-2:
Year-2 of study offers an advanced understanding of Shiatsu and human anatomy. Successful completion of the course requirements, leads to a Certificate of Shiatsu Competence.

Year-3:
This final stage of formal Shiatsu studies with the school consolidates and extends the previous 2-years work, and focuses on the skills and responsibilities of clinical practice. Successful completion of this level entitles the student receive the school's Diploma in Shiatsu.

Ratification

The school's syllabus is fully ratified by the Shiatsu Society. On successful completion of full practitioner training with the school, students receive a diploma in Shiatsu, are equiped to practice professionally, and are able to apply for full membership of the register of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS).
